It was up on the rooftop of Manhattan Porsche during a Carpark gathering in the midst of the pandemic that we got to chatting with the fine folks at Sunday Motor Co. in Madison, New Jersey. The idea to collaborate on some level was struck. Before the evening was over a plan was hatched and in came the beloved 1953 Peugeot 203. The Pug had suffered patina damage to a previous vinyl livery and had lost some of its character. We began by restoring the adhesive affected areas and enhancing some of the lost character in other areas where chemicals and sand paper had been employed, we then set out to brand the Pug but it had to be done subtle and classy of-course so we hand painted their lovely logos on both sides, rear door and of-course the rooftop needed something. After a few text exchanges we knew the Pug had to pay homage to the long history of Cycling assist vehicles so the endearing "Vehicule d'assistance" was painted on as well. The Pug now resides within their cafe space, a former Mobil gas station and is available for viewing during their business hours. Go for the car, stay for the amazing offerings and stellar service. Sunday Motor Car has quick become a must if you are a car person.
